A.J. Tuck does Cold shield and Thermalshield manufacturing for a variety of infrared and satellite applications. We can complete a coldshield with gold and/or blackened coatings to suit your needs. The electroforming process allows us to manufacture a coldshield, ir shield, or radiation shield with low mass, thin walls, and short cool down times.
Extremely thin walls and complex shapes with internal vanes or baffles can easily be produced. We also produce items with cold shields and thermal shields by depositing metal directly onto many of the rapid prototyping materials including SLA. Complex metal shapes or injection molds can be produced in this fashion bypassing costly and time consuming machine shop operations. Multiple generation electroformed nickel mandrels can also be produced off of customer's master impressions.
